We want you to feel good about every paid interaction with HelloVC. This page explains exactly how refunds work.
1. Free things stay free
Our tools (valuation calculator, cap-table builder), playbook articles marked free, the public deck library, and the VC Atlas are free. There’s nothing to refund there.
2. Done-for-you services (deck design, website, mentor session)
For services like Pitch Deck Design, Website Design, or Mentor Sessions, the policy is straightforward:
- Before work begins — full refund, no questions asked. Email us within 24 hours of purchase.
- After work begins, before delivery — partial refund based on work completed. We’ll show you the work and you decide.
- After delivery — if you’re unsatisfied after the included revision rounds (typically two), a full refund is available. We’d rather make it right than keep your money.
Mentor sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time at no charge. No-shows are non-refundable.
3. Digital products (templates, lists, downloads)
Digital one-time purchases — investor lists, templates, e-books, and any other downloadable content — are final sale. Once the purchase completes and access is granted, the order cannot be refunded.
Please review the product description, sample previews, and FAQ on each product page before buying. If anything is unclear, email hello@hellovc.in before purchasing and we’ll answer the same day.
The only exception is a verifiable technical failure where you were charged but did not receive access. In that case, email us with your order ID and we’ll either fix the access or refund the order.
4. Pro subscription (if and when offered)
Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account page. You’ll keep access until the end of the current billing period. We do not issue refunds for the unused portion of a billing period or for previously charged periods.
Renewals are clearly disclosed at signup; you control whether the subscription continues by cancelling before the next renewal date.
5. How to request a refund
- Email hello@hellovc.in with the subject line “Refund request”.
- Include your order ID (from the Razorpay confirmation) and a one-line reason. The reason helps us improve — it’s not a hurdle.
- We respond within 2 working days and process the refund within 7 working days after approval.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. International cards may take 5–10 additional business days to reflect, depending on your bank.
6. What we can’t refund
- Any digital product (template, list, download) once the order is complete and access is granted
- Subscription periods that have already been billed (cancel anytime to stop future renewals)
- Services where you’ve received and accepted final delivery (after the included revisions)
- No-shows for scheduled mentor sessions without 24 hours’ notice
- Coupon-discounted purchases below ₹500 / $7 (cost of refund processing exceeds the amount)
7. Chargebacks
If you have a problem, please email us first. Filing a chargeback without contacting us extends the resolution time and triggers fees we’d rather avoid. We respond fast and we’re reasonable people.
